Description	American Hellenic Progressive Association first annual picnic. A picture of the picnic attendees.
Caption	AHEPA First Annual Picnic, Dickinson, July 20, 1924. Fofo said that she doesn't remember much about this even, because she was only 7 years old. All she remembers was that they had some kind of relay races. I'll also have to verify some of these names and relationships, but overall I'm sure they're pretty accurate. Angelo Mytelin, George Petheriotes, George Peet (Picramenos), Mrs. George Peet, Julia Lardis Moss, Mr. Giannukos, Mrs. Giannukos, Tacia Peet (Zgourides), Strato Catsinas, Catherine Catsinas (Fofo's mother), Jim Cafcallis, Mrs. Mitchell (Mother of George, Johnny, etc.), Mrs. Caravagelli, Caravagelli son, Theo Peet (father of Tacia and first Vice President of the Greek Community), Helen Caravagelli, Katherine Matandos (Petheriotes), Theodore Arapolis, Nick Peet (son of George), Jim Peet (son of George), Fofo Catsinas (DeClaris), Katherine Chiakos (Peet), Olga Manthes, George Manthes, Angelo and Clio Jelson, Johnny Jelson, Chris Malavansos, Bill Kusakis, John Giannukos (son of Mr. and Mrs. Giannukos), George Jelson, Georgia Kusakis, Mrs. Jelson (only knew her as "giagia", or grandmother), Dimitra Jelson, Mr. Jelson (Husband of Dimitra), Pete Peet (first cousin of Theo Peet and father of Kea Peet Kostas), George Peet (brother of Pete Peet), Perhaps Theo Polemanakos, Maria Peet (wife of Pete Peet), Lea Peet (Kostas) (daughter of Maria and Pete Peet), Bessie Verges (Retsos), Mrs. Angeliki Mytelin (mother of Angelo M., Mrs. George Peet, Mrs. Verges, and Mrs. Kusakis), Pete Pappas, Mrs. Pete Pappas, Steve Panos, Louis Comet (husband of Stella Galanos Comet later Demetre), Stella Galanos Comet (later Demetre), Mr. and Mrs. Charles Demeris (Nick C.'s parents), Mrs. Verges, Mrs. Kusakis, George Peet (second cousin to Theo Peet), Mrs. Kanakis (Gus's mother), and Mr. Semander. For the women who later married, I put their married names in parentheses after their names when the photo was taken. Fofo also said that these picnics were mostly family affairs, so that many of the single men, where there were a lot of, wouldn't be in attendance. So a lot of the big names are missing in the photo. Others were cut out of the photo by the photographer. Like Fofo's dad, whose hand just makes it into the lower right hand corner of the picture, which his arm around her brother Nick. "I recognize the ring" she says. She suspects the priest at the time (Fr. Vlamides?) was also accidentally cut out too.
