Photograph (detail) of Ima Hogg. Ima Hogg was the daughter of James Stephen Hogg, governor of Texas from 1891 to 1895. She was involved in the creation of the Houston Symphony, a mental health clinic foundation, a child guidance center. In 1943 she won a seat in the Houston school board. |
