Description	Aerial view looking west from point above Mainland adjacent to Houston Ship Channel. Outfitting Pier and Slip along foreground and along Houston Ship Channel which traverses the picture from upper left to right center. Main Shops Building and Mold Loft at left center, with Acetylene Generator Building and building used by Joiner Contractor in left foreground. Hulls numbers 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 on Shipways 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, from right to left, at center of picture. Welding slabs just inboard from these ways. Left of Shipway 6 (Hull 1) is Shell Plating Shop and beyond Shell Plating Shop are Shipways 7, 8, and 9, with Hulls 26, 27, and 28 under construction thereon. Group Shops Building at extreme right corner of picture, with Receiving Building adjacent thereto. Gantry Cranes along outfitting pier are being erected.
