Abstract |
Dr. Venu Gopal Menon graduated from the Medical School at Trivandrum, India. During the China-India War, he joined the Army and served four years in the Emergency Medical Corps. He came to the United States in 1969 for a residency in Washington, D.C. and Connecticut. In 1973, with a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor, he came to Houston, Texas. Soon after, he started working as an associate at the McGovern Allergy Clinic, and became the President of the Clinic until his retirement. In his retired life, he spends his time writing and visiting the Meenakshi Temple. His advice to the new generation in U.S. is to maintain their cultural values and try to make a contribution to society. Dr. Menon and his wife, Sridevi, have three children. |
