Punjab
,
India
, and
having
a
degree
in
Veterinary
Medicine
from
Punjab
, and
serving
in the
Indian
Army
from
1953
to
1973
,
Rajinder
Bhalla's
desire
was to
return
to the
United
States
when
he was
sent
on an
assignment
to
U.S
. and
Australia
. He
returned
to
U.S.
, and in
1961
received
his
Masters
degree
in
Veterinary
Medicine
, and
worked
at a
Multinational
Company
for
18
years
.
When
the
company
moved
to
Houston
, he
came
to
Houston
, and
worked
for
another
12
years
.
Being
very
socially
oriented
, he
built
a
Gurdwara(temple)for
the
Sikhs
in
Long
Island
and was its
Trustee
. In
Houston
, he
is
the
Vice-Chairman
and
now
Trustee
of the
Gurdwara
in
Southwest
Houston
. He
is
also the
President
of the
India
Culture
Center
in
Houston
. His
aim
is
to
promote
the
values
and
culture
of
India
.
Mr
.
Bhalla
is
a
Freemason
from
India,and
became
a
member
of the
Lodge
in
New
York
. In
1982
he
became
the
Master
and
Trustee
of the
Lodge
.
