Description	Groundbreaking: Mr. Jesse Jones and Colonel Andrew Jackson Houston at the groundbreaking ceremony of the San Jacinto Memorial. A military band performs for the group of spectators. Mr. Jones and others make speeches that are broadcast by station KPRC while news reporters with cameras record the event. Text reads (in order): "Mr. Jesse Jones and Col. Andrew Jackson Houston (son of General Sam Houston) - break ground for a Memorial Tower." -- The Plow is 100 Years Old: Footage of a group of people looking at a pair of oxen yoked to a plow. Col. Andrew Jackson Houston and Mr. Jesse Jones operate a plow with a pair of oxen while the crowd watches. Other scenes from the celebration including Mr. Jones and Col. Houston examining a model of the San Jacinto Monument and men wearing cowboy hats with a commemorative Texas Centennial logo. Text reads (in order): "The Plow is 100 Years Old." -- Colonel Houston: Col. Andrew Jackson Houston in a Texas Centennial cowboy hat posing next to a model of the San Jacinto monument. Text reads (in order): "Colonel Houston." -- Construction: Footage of major construction activity at the monument’s building site. -- Celebration during construction: A large crowd attends an event at the San Jacinto Monument under construction where dignitaries make speeches and airplanes fly-by in formation. -- San Jacinto Monument completed: Scenes from a celebration at the completed San Jacinto Monument including groups of visitors, Native Americans on horseback, the exterior inscriptions, and views from the top of the monument of the surrounding grounds and land.
