Description	Downtown: Footage of high water running between multi-story buildings in downtown Houston, Texas. -- Buffalo Bayou: People look on from a bridge as water just barely passes under it. -- Run Away House: Footage of people on the roof of a small wooden house which came loose from its foundation. A boat paddles up to them. In the next scene, the house has drifted closer to another flooded building. Motor boats circle around. -- Downtown: Footage of kids playing in some of the flood water. Some men paddle a boat between buildings. Other clips show a current in the flood water before showing a Houston Chronicle front page that describes the Bayou as dropping “two inches an hour” as the floodwater recedes. People mill around the edge of a flooded street. -- Local Businesses: Footage shows a produce market set up on the sidewalk. A crowd of people stay behind a police cordon near Herbert Drug Store. Text reads (in order); "A great day for sight-seers, a sad day for many merchants.” -- Aftermath: Footage shows various newspaper headlines assessing the damage and death toll of the flood. Footage of partially collapsed brick buildings and their rubble as well as men at work removing it. Newspaper headlines (in order): The Houston Press: "Flood water fall: Damage exceeds [],000,000; 6 feared dead, 15 missing." The Houston Press: "[]0 brick buildings fall into bayou: city to vote on flood control board." The Houston Post: "[Cit]y speeds repairs as flood recede[]" -- Railway Bridge: A train passes over the water on a high bridge while a few people watch the rushing water from a lower, rubble-strewn bridge nearby. -- Flood footage: A man lowers himself over the edge of a bridge to grab at some hard-to-see objects, which he tosses up to his companion. Further footage from around the city shows the destruction left by the water and efforts to start cleaning it up. A couple of wooden houses are shown listing on their foundations. A man in a sailor hat dunks a bunch of bananas into the water to rinse them off before discarding those that were too damaged in the flood. Footage shows an eroded bank and fallen trees. Footage of men at work at some kind of factory or shipyard. -- Before and After: A title card announces comparison shots showing areas flooded with water followed by footage of those locations when dry. Text reads (in order): "Before and After. Some scenes with and without a flood."
