Abstract |
Judge Andrew Jefferson details his education and accomplishments in this oral history from 1974. Judge Jefferson attended Law School at the University of Texas at Austin from 1956-1959, after attaining an undergraduate degree at Texas Southern University. Judge Jefferson shares his experiences as an African-American jurist and lawyer, including his time as Assistant Criminal District Attorney and Harris County Judge. Judge Jefferson also served on the Constitutional Revision Commission for the State of Texas, and as Vice-Chairman of the Committee on the judiciary. |
