Abstract |
By answering an ad in the Houston Press, Rosalie Clements became an employee of the Shamrock Hotel, which opened on Saint Patrick’s Day, 1949. She began working as an assistant to the hotel’s developer, Glenn McCarthy, and later ran a successful seamstress shop from the hotel. In this interview, Rosalie Clements tells many colorful stories about the interesting visitors and guests she encountered during her years working at Shamrock Hotel. |
