Abstract |
Lester Williams talks about his musical career as a vocalist for bands as well as his solo carrer in night clubs from Texas to Minnesota. Williams was a vocalist for the I. H. Smalley Band in Houston and played with the Texas Southern University band in the late 1940s. Williams had a varied career, serving with the U.S. Army SIgnal Corps in World War II in Italy, studying at the England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and working for the Friendswood Development, a division of Exxon/Mobil. |
