Transcript	San [? Augustine] June 24th 1852 My [? Dr] Sir Not expecting to be in Houston soon and having received from the Wesleyan Banner the en-closed account I wish you to do me the favor to pay off whatever I am due to that paper up to the time you pay the demand and request them to stop sending the paper to me as I find it very inconvenient to send the price of papers to a distance and do not like to be found in arrear with newspapers or any other persons. I have some [? time] since concluded to pay up for my papers as fast as I can find opportunities to do so and to stop taking all but two or three which pertain more particularly to my profession. I subscribed to the Wesleyan Banner through Mr David [? Ayver] about December 1849. Please pay up what I owe and request them to cease sending [end of page one] it to me from that date for the reasons above stated. Take a [? receipt] and hold it against me on settle–ment. We have no news of importance here. All Democrats seem well satisfied with the nomination of Mr Pierce for the Presidency Yours very Truly J Pinckney Henderson To Thos Bagby Esqr [end of page two]
