Head Quarters Crescent Regiment Camp Carondelet October 12th 1863 Lieut. WF Blackman [?Actc]& G. Moutons Brigade Lieutenant The Crescent Regt. having been temporarily consolidated into two companies Captains Claiborne & Capt. Braughn commanding, Lieuts LeGay, Webb & Heston are assigned to the company commanded by Capt Claiborne, Lieuts. Tonstall, Horton, & Mooney are assigned to the company commanded by Captn Braughn – The remaining officers who are thus left without command are Captn. Venables, Lt. Nunez of Co “D”, Lt. Allston of “E”, Captn. Greene, Lts Smith (under arrest) & Tyson of “F” Captn Hardenbergh & Lt. Muir of Co “C” Lts. Lee, Aubertin & Cooney of “G” Lt.
