Miss Julia Ideson,
Librarian,
Houston, Texas.
Dear Miss Ideson:
I am enclosing you herewith a package of
original letters that passed to and between James W.
Fannin and his half-sister and other members of the Fannin
family. These letters remained in the possession of
Eliza Fannin long after Fannin's death. Her granddaughter,
Miss Sadie Walker of this City, has given them to me
with permission to place them where they will be preserved.
Because of their great historic interest I am sending them
to you for preservation. Please place them in the Library
along with this letter, which will tell where they came
from.
Yours very truly,
C. R Wharton
